Although this summer finds us faced with a higher cost of living, an economic recession, and Midwest floods and California wildfires, basically the mood here at mongomon is a hopeful and optimistic one.

The remixing/recording project is alive and well. There's been a lot of progress and revelation on a weekly basis. The music is sounding better and better and the new vocal tracks are a much improved addition to those mixes. Producer / Recording Engineer Larry Kornfeld lends his skills graciously and effectively during each session with very positive results.

"Better Than Before" a thoughtful and emotive song pleading for a better world and a better life for all, was recently formatted to MP3  and forwarded to campaign personnel working for Barack Obama. The song was originally released in 2006 on Tom Wood's CD "Ballo Nudo". Is there a real possibility this song might be considered as an election anthem? Maybe. Stranger things have happened in the ever evolving music world.   Positive music / conscious music is good medicine and the idea of "music as medicine" is a belief shared by millions of people across the planet.
